A super powerful mini August 12, 2010 anji I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about this laptop, but I got it, and I LOVE it. I love it even more than my dell 1420. I got it in Jade green, with a fan pad, wireless mouse, and 2gb of ram (240g). Its an amazing machine, and even if you get it with the standard 1gb, it still works amazingly well, and not nearly as slow as people are accusing it of. The screen is awesome, and doesn't smudge, as long as you use a wireless mouse, its perfectly fast and responsive. I was told they heat up, but even without my cooling pad it doesn't run any warmer than any other notebook.
I'm exceedingly happy with my purchase, though Dell annoyed me the least bit as they messed my order up . . . twice.
Dell Inspiron Netbook August 8, 2010 V. Kapoor (Seattle, WA USA) Lovely netbook ... It comes with Win7 which is WAAAY more better and beautiful than XP which I used before (never used vista.)
I haven't installed a lot of stuff on it but use it for IM, checking emails etc. - basically like a netbook and it works perfectly. It also looks like any other netbook (I also have an ASUS EEE PC.)
The only catch is that the bottom of the netbook is white in color - which is not apparent from the photos.
Cute and slowwwwwww......... August 6, 2010 FuManChew Lack of memory makes this system less than it should be. Latency between applications and web browsing makes this a less desirable investment.
Real Life Review July 15, 2010 Cayce Lynn Williams (Atlanta) I've got big hands and simply couldn't type on the majority of netbooks out there. I wanted to love my Asus but there were a lot of issues and the keyboard was a deal breaker... absolute junk. I have a XPS 1640 as my main laptop so I did some reading and thought I'd give this one a try. It's not that attractive but I needed function over form. This little guy delivers on every level. I upgraded it to Win7 AFTER I added RAM. I installed Office 2010, chrome, Nortel VPN for work and Sprint Air Card software. I love the fact it has 3 USB ports. I'm getting about 5 solid hours out of the battery and I don't do any every saving nonsense - I often do the opposite. I will mention the battery takes forever to charge if you are on it. (so did my Asus though) The aesthetics will grow on you.
One of the best netbook out there, battery life was awesome!!! July 8, 2010 Gtec This is my first netbook. I have been thinking for a while about the limitation of netbook performance. I was wrong. The amount of work that I can do on it was incredible!!! I did compare with other brands netbook, this turn out to be the winner. The battery life is incredible, 7-8 hours every charge. I was debating to get the cheaper version that sold by amazon, but that one only have three cell battery. I am glad that I pick this one instead. Great netbook!!!
